About Me

Grew up in New York. Worked in communications and marketing for nearly twenty years, but only in conservation for the past 3 1/2 years.

 A few specific ways I've earned a living since graduating from college:

• Bartending/cocktail waitressing
• Telemarketing for Amnesty International
• Writing for a women's issues newspaper for a year
• Working at a publishing company as an editor of educational materials
• Working at Wolf Trap -- a performing arts center just outside of Washington, DC for more than 7 years (Performing arts is actually my first love -- my mediocre piano, guitar, voice, and acting skills have been featured in concerts and plays since I was about 8 years old.)
• Doing a stint in the private sector, at AOL Time Warner, where I helped to sell online advertising and programs for several years -- I'm much happier to be selling conservation now!
• Freelance graphic design and writing
