Ginger Elsea's Public Profile

About Me

Ginger, a recent MBA graduate from Columbia Business School, is excited to be working at Rare on a feasibility assessment of Vessel Monitoring System (VMS) technology. While at Columbia, she focused her studies on social enterprise and completed multiple pro-bono consulting assignments, including one to develop a marketing strategy for an adventure tourism provider interested in funding conservation efforts in Chilean Patagonia. Prior to business school, Ginger worked at Chemonics – an international development consulting firm – for four years, where she specialized in private sector development in Eastern Europe. Her favorite assignments involved helping the Moldovan wine sector.

Ginger originally hails from the St. Louis area but is happy to call DC home, despite the summer humidity. In addition to her MBA, she has an MA in European studies from Georgetown University and a BA in German and international studies from Washington University in St. Louis. In her free time, she enjoys Pilates, biking, and fine dining. Following her stint at Rare, Ginger and her husband will be moving to Rwanda for four months, where she will be working in international development and rural finance and volunteering with Nest, a non-profit organization to assist women artisans.
