The lobster season in the Bahamas begins August 1st and ends Marsh 31st each year. This season we intend to have the entire Abaco community wear Size Matters t-shirts on July 30th which is the Friday before the lobster season opens. The campaign will give away t-shirts to fishermen and we have sent out letters to all the major businesses such as banks, insurance companies and hardware stores etc. to also support by donating a small amount in exchange for a t-shirt. Our intent is to send out a mesage to the entire Abaco community about protecting our local lobster populations. The first day we sent out the letters, Marsh Harbour Exporters, the only seafood processing plant in Abaco ordered 40 shirts for employees and fishermen of their company!
